Shrimp Ahoy!!

So life seems to get more and more interesting and more and more busy as time goes on. The title refers to the fact that my roommate got a box of frozen shrimp from one of her students. She didn't even tell him that she liked shrimp or anything. It was weird. When we opened it up we found out that the shrimp wasn't just packed in ice, it was actually in a block of ice. So we actually have to dethaw all of the shrimp before we can eat it. Welcome to Japan. I have also had the opportunity to go to the local park here, called Kotohiki, since I have been back. It is actually really famous because it has a the structure of the 50 yen coin built of pure sand. It's kind of cool. They also have cool shrines and bamboo forests and stuff along the way. I also have been to a garden in Marugame here. It was beautiful although it was raining and dreary all day. I got some cool pictures and they had a few museums there. They had a really freaky doll at one of them that looked exactly like Mac from the movie Mac and Me. I have also included a picture of some of the freaky looking manaquins they have here. I am still trying to get my internet up, but have officially gotten a bed, hot water for our shower, our washer to work, and a microwave oven. All we need now is that blasted internet, a phone, and hot water in our sink. I am loving it here and having a blast though. I will try to make sure it isn't so long before I write again. Enjoy the pictures.
